In February 2019, Talas Vocational Lyceum No. 90 hosted an open competition arranged by Alliance Altyn LLC to choose candidates for the Jeruy deposit training programme. The competition resulted in 45 people with the necessary basic training being selected out of 320 local residents who took part. They received 1 month of training and practice at the Jeruy production site. On 15 April, the candidates were assessed. At the end of the assessment, the examination board found the competence of 44 people to be satisfactory. These candidates were presented with certificates confirming their attendance at a special staff reserve training course at the Jeruy gold deposit.

A driver recruitment competition was held on April 23-25. 48 candidates were selected out of 503 applicants. After medical and criminal record checks, they were also trained and practised for 1 month, after which they received certificates of attendance at the reserve training course.

By the end of the year, such open contests will be held two more times.

As suggested by Marat Murataliev, plenipotentiary representative of the government in Talas oblast, benefits are provided for local residents with relevant professions and in need of social assistance.
